Ivan is a registered patent attorney and trial attorney admitted to practice in California, New York, and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. He litigates intellectual property and general civil matters. He has first-chair trial experience in the International Trade Commission (ITC), federal district courts, and state courts. He also provides extensive intellectual property counseling. This includes drafting opinions regarding patent infringement and contract rights, negotiating technology licensing, and managing intellectual property portfolios.
He further provides top-quality patent drafting and procurement services, including in the technical areas of software, electronics, wireless, optics, networks, automotive, furniture, Internet, e-commerce, and business methods.
He worked for the oldest intellectual property law firm in the U.S., and as in-house Senior Patent Counsel with the American Honda Motor Corporation. Ivan also has extensive experience prosecuting and defending Trademark Trial and Appeal Board opposition and cancellation proceedings.

Ivan’s exceptionally broad experience in many different legal areas of expertise has given him the ability to think “outside the box.” He has worked with large and small entities, and individuals. He has come to understand the varying needs of all levels of businesses and individuals. Over and above Ivan’s traditional legal experience, he has owned and operated small businesses, and managed departments in larger companies, specifically as a manager and software programmer in the technical areas of C++, Object PAL, dBase, Oracle, Sys 38-CL, RPG and assembly languages on early CISC and RISC processors.
